Hi Everybody,
Nice to have a big chunk of time to work through some Math today. I enjoyed chatting with each of you to get a sense of how your Math is feeling. If you are struggling, please get in to see me as soon as possible as the units move much more quickly than they did in grade 8.
The key is to break down each composite object into the shapes it is made up of and just work slowly & diligently ensuring that you are presenting your work in an organized manner. Ensure that you have your course notes open in your journal as you work so you can familiarize yourself with the formulae and examples from class. Pythag. Theorem adds an extra layer of complexity so please be on the look out for this if you are working with triangular prisms.
Please work through the handout from today for Math. We will go through it tomorrow and have a check in on Thursday. We will most likely be finished the unit next week so make sure you are not leaving any questions you might have.
No formal Science tonight as the Ebola project launched and I'm sure you have many ideas to work through.
Take care & enjoy the rest of the day.
