HUM

We completed a quick write on the following topic today:

Explain how the ancestor rock represents Cole’s anger and his need to blame someone for his troubles. When he kneels down and gives it a shove down the hill, what is he symbolically shoving away? Does the “rock” help you understand and visualize the burden Cole has been carrying?

If you were absent, please do this for homework. It should be well-supported with strong examples from the novel.

We completed our collective rights presentations. We chatted about relevance, and why we learn about collective rights. We will be discussing further, and will be completing a critical question about collective rights to finish off the unit.

Good work Grade Nines :)
